1. Licence and experience
Valid Québec driver’s licence (Class 5 or higher), in good standing for at least 12 months, appropriate for the vehicle used for remunerated passenger transport.
Authorized driver permit issued by the SAAQ (Bill T-11.2).
Qualified driver certificate: proof of CFTR training and exam success.
Ability to understand, speak and read French (section 10(3) LCTRPA).
Certificate of absence of criminal record from a municipal police force or Sûreté du Québec.
2. Vehicle and insurance
Vehicle in good mechanical and cosmetic condition, registered in Québec for remunerated passenger transport.
Authorized vehicle attestation issued by the SAAQ (section 26 LCTRPA).
Annual mechanical inspection (PEP) compliant with the Highway Safety Code.
Commercial liability insurance covering remunerated passenger transport.
Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) registered in the transport system registry.
3. SAAQ permit and remunerated transport
SAAQ authorized driver permit for remunerated passenger transport (independent taxi).
Compliance with local rules applicable to Québec City and surrounding areas.
4. Background checks and payments (Stripe)
Identity verification and review of documents submitted during onboarding (licence, insurance, registration, photo).
Stripe Connect account setup to receive payouts securely and in compliance with platform rules.
Valid GST (TPS) and QST (TVQ) numbers if operating as a sole proprietor or business in Québec.
